Race Coach

Hi Junior Sailors and parents! This will be my sixth season at HYC and this year as Race Coach. I grew up sailing optis a few miles away at Horseshoe Harbor Yacht Club. I currently sail 49ers, lasers, various keelboats, and moths out of HYC and Sandringham Yacht Club in Melbourne, Australia. In the winter of 2020, I was the mainsail trimmer for the winning boats in the Lipton Cup, the Boxing Day Dash, and the Geelong Festival of Sails; the three biggest keelboat events in Melbourne's summer.
 
On top of being an active sailor myself, I've been working with sailors ranging from 5 and 6 year-olds who are stepping in boats for the first time to my high-performance opti, laser, and 29er teams that include multiple sailors who were recently selected to represent Australia in regattas all over the world! I'm looking forward to getting back on the sound and helping our sailors have an awesome summer and achieve their goals!
